Anyone who has had an eye exam knows about the dreaded "Air Puff" test. This is a test that measures the pressure in your eyes and helps your Doctor test your risk for Glaucoma.
Fortunately, this isn't the only way we can check the pressure in your eye! With the advancement in technology came the iCare Tonometer. This is a wonderfully small and lightweight device that feels so much less invasive than the air puff. It uses a lightweight tip that makes momentary contact with the cornea in order to measure your eye pressure. Instead of feeling like a punch of air to your eye, the most you feel is a light tickle sensation if your eyelashes touch the tip.
The iCare Tonometer is in use at our Cornell and Tigard offices. Give us a call at 503-645-5076 to schedule an appointment or scroll down and conveniently schedule online!
