Convergence Issues

Convergence issues occur when the eyes have difficulty teaming with one another. The eyes may have a slight tendency to point inwards or outwards and a person must overcome that slight tendency to keep items in the distance and at near one and clear.  When it takes too much effort to keep items one and clear, then a person may experience doubling to their vision. They may also report frequent headaches that starts or is worsened after a specific activity. At times, words or letters may move around in their vision.

Your optometric provider at Bridgetown Optometric Associates will determine how well your child’s eyes are teaming with one another. Please let your provider know of any specific concerns that you may have.
